The breathtaking beige

Beige, in my opinion, is a colour of contradictions. Sometimes it comes across as a shy and submissive colour; at other times it seems strong and overpowering. Nonetheless, there is no denying the fact that it is a timeless colour. It all depends on how you play around it. Certain hues bring out the sheer beauty of beige- tangerine, black, white, fuchsia, turquoise. I decided to pair a beige kurta  with black palazzos. The temple jewellery adds oodles of richness and flamboyance to the outfit.

Killing the weekend in ripped denims and a tee

Weekends, by themselves, are perfect occasions to be at your casual best. “Casuals” are best manifested through ripped denims, a casual tee (A superhero tee, in this case) and highly comfortable sneakers. I also sported a neon bracelet which breaks the monotony and makes one look extra stylish and cool. Also, the look includes a chunky watch from Edifice.
F&B 707’s tip: Borrow your brother or boyfriend’s watch if you don’t have one.
Also, do not forget to put on your favourite pair of shades to complete the look. My favourite, hands down, are the aviators from Ray Ban.

BLACK- The colour of exuberance and minimalism

“Black, in itself, is a gorgeous colour. Black is way more than a slenderizing colour. Black is beautiful. Black is illuminated.”- Aakanksha Sheth
I, for one, absolutely love the class and flamboyance that black is associated with. From the viewpoint of a fashion blogger, there are multitudinous ways to style and perceive black- from classy to boho, from western to traditional, from exuberant to minimal. Black is an extremely versatile colour. It has the natural tendency to bring out and magnify the exuberance of every other possible colour.
Hence, I came up with this look which reveals the beauty of black.
I’ve paired a black kurta with a black patiala and a flowy, black dupatta. The kurta was purchased from Gujarat. This is my take on amalgamating the best of fashion from two states- Punjab and Gujarat, in a single look. Gujarat is best known for it’s detailed Kutchi print and Punjab is synonymous with the voluminous patiala.

Nail the “Aristocratic Begum” look with these fantastic tips

When one hears the phrase- “Royal begum”, the one name that we instantly associate is that of, none other than, Kareena Kapoor Khan. She looks ravishing and mind blindingly beautiful when she decides to unleash the “begum” in her.
We decided to draw some inspiration from catty Kareena to design a “begum look”.
Here are the ground rules/ tips to nail the “begum” look:
1. FLAWLESS SKIN:
Not everyone is blessed like Kareena when it comes to matters of skin. Therefore it is advised to use the concealer abundantly in order to camouflage any imperfections. This will result in porcelain skin which looks healthy and radiant.

2. BOLD EYES AND BROWS:
Taking cue from Kareena, it isn’t difficult to conclude that one has to use eyeliner and kohl in optimal quantity to achieve big and bold eyes. Also, you can use an eyebrow pencil to fill in the gaps in your brows.
F&B 707’s Quick tip: Wear coloured lenses to maximize the impact as begums, generally, have gorgeous eyes. I’m wearing the colour Hazel from Bausch&Lomb.

3. VOLUMINOUS, SIDE SWEPT HAIR:
You can blow dry your hair to add more volume, movement and bounce to your hair. It’ll add an envious shine to your tresses. Also, the best way to style it is to keep it losely side swept on one side.

4. GET IT RIGHT WITH WHITE:
Since times immemorial, the aristocrats and the affluent have worn white to reaffirm their status, class and charm. Therefore, a long, floor length kurti in white was chosen. Also, make note of the full sleeves, which uplift your style quotient by more than a few notches.

5. ATTITUDE:
Lastly and most importantly, it is essential to carry yourself with poise and unparalleled  flair. Also, have you ever seen a classy begum, slouching?! So put in effort to keep your posture erect AT ALL TIMES by keeping your back and knees straight.

An affair with denims is a lethal one

Since times immemorial, celebrities and fashionistas across the globe have sworn by an all denim look. Denims are blessed with a natural tendency to make you feel comfortable and stylish, all at the same time. There are a million ways as to how you can style a look with denim as the epicenter, which often leads to confusion and anxiety. That’s when F&B 707 comes to the rescue.

denim-on-denim

More commonly known as the Canadian Tuxedo, this denim-on-denim combination is taking the fashion world by storm. Check out how Kangana Ranaut and Kendall Jenner sported this look in their airport style – we love!

Heres’s a look styled for our readers, to draw some denim inspiration from.

A layered silver chain and a buttoned denim shirt make an enviable pair

The dynamism and versatility of denim never ceases to take me by surprise. You can look raw and rugged or polished and petite. It all depends on your mood and personal sense of style.
So walk up to your wardrobe and experiment a little more because when it comes to denims, you deserve nothing but the best.

SO MANY SHOES AND ONLY TWO FEET..

“Money can’t buy happiness, but it can buy shoes. Well, that’s nearly the same thing.”
In this post, I’ll be sharing my top 10 pairs of footwear(in no particular order of preference). I definitely prefer heels or wedges of some kind as they tend to add a lot of poise and ensure erect posture at all times. Eventually, it’s a matter of personal choice and is subject to various factors too.

HOW TO NAIL THE VIBRANT “HOLI” LOOK

When we Indians hear the word “Holi”, what usually comes to our mind is colours, celebration, vibrant hues and most importantly Bollywood.
Here’s how I nailed my Holi look. The attire is inspired by the quintessential Bollywood look we often associate with the festival. The look is vibrant and minimal at the same time.
